What to Do When an Online Order Is Not as Described in Nigeria

Stop making additional payments, preserve the original listing and agreement, document what arrived, contact the seller in writing and use the applicable platform, bank and consumer-protection complaint process. Any review depends heavily on evidence showing what was promised and delivered.

Preserve the original offer

Save the listing, product photos, description, price, delivery promise and messages that formed the agreement. Do this before a post or chat changes or disappears.

Document what arrived

Take clear photos or video of the package, labels, condition, contents, missing parts and any damage. Note the delivery date and who received it.

Contact the seller clearly

Describe the difference between the agreed terms and the delivered order, attach relevant evidence, state the resolution you are requesting and keep the communication in writing.

Use the right review path

Follow the applicable Dealcova dispute flow when the order is in a Dealcova deal. Also contact the bank, payment provider, delivery service or consumer-protection authority where their process applies.

Do not overstate the result

A complaint or dispute is not proof that the other party acted dishonestly, and opening a review does not guarantee a refund. Share only accurate, relevant facts.
